  • Technical and Account Leader (Web3)

    Protofire is looking for a candidate for a hands-on leadership role ideal for a founder-type with a background in DeFi or Web3 startups, particularly someone motivated by long-term equity outcomes and the challenge of building from 0 to 1 in a rapidly evolving market.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee architecture, delivery, sales, and account management within the business unit
    • Guide technical solution design, helping teams focus on core components and high-impact areas
    • Own the business unit’s P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and procurement
    • Build strong client relationships with a focus on retention, upsell, and value creation
    • Resolve escalations and continuously improve service delivery and internal processes
    • Proactively identify risks and take preventive or corrective action
    • Ensure full operational transparency through documentation and tooling (ClickUp, Runn.io, etc.)
    • Align the business unit with DAO-wide standards and reporting expectations
    • Incubate new offers and explore market opportunities for long-term growth

    Required Skills & Experience

    • Experience as a co-founder or early leader in a Web3 or DeFi protocol
    • Proven track record in startups that have exited via acquisition or IPO
    • Deep understanding of smart contracts, dApps, tokenomics, consensus mechanisms, and blockchain infrastructure (e.g. Ethereum, Solana)
    • Familiarity with automated market makers and different investor profiles (whales, institutional, retail)
    • Strong grasp of solution architecture and software development lifecycles
    • Ability to analyse business models, product-market fit, and underlying value propositions
    • Experience with business tools such as Figma, Lean Canvas, or similar
    • Comfortable navigating market cycles and responding strategically
    • Demonstrated ability to operate transparently in fully remote, async environments
  • Solidity Developer with Audit Experience

    Protofire as great enthusiasts and active contributors to the open-source blockchain communities, we help builders and providers of decentralized infrastructure, protocols, and applications, bootstrap the demand and supply sides of their markets and accelerate mass adoption.

    We help startups with protocol & smart contract engineering, high-performance trusted data feeds (oracles), and awesome developer tools (SDKs/APIs).

    Since we started in 2016 we’ve had a chance to contribute to the development of many top projects in the blockchain ecosystem, including Maker, Chainlink, Tezos, Gnosis, Kyber Network, The Graph, Filecoin, Synthetix, Avalanche, and more. Apart from that, we are running one of the biggest indexer nodes in the Graph Network, participating as bridge relayers and validators helping projects and networks to further decentralize their infrastructure.

    We are now looking to hire a cross-disciplinary team to help Protofire scale. As such, we’re looking for a Solidity Developer who’s had extensive experience writing, testing, deploying, and auditing smart contract code and who is up to date on the current developments in Solidity.

    Besides knowing Solidity, we’d love to hear your informed opinion on the latest developer tooling, adhere to industry best practices, and follow the latest vulnerabilities and hacks in the Ethereum smart contract space with interest.

    How you will make an impact:

    • Produce high quality, performant, and well-tested Solidity code
    • You’ll be working with advanced smart contracts, working on new features for the protocols, and creating new technical DeFi primitives
    • Conducting technical due diligence and understanding dynamics/tradeoffs between different blockchain protocols
    • Perform smart contract audits and identify vulnerabilities
    • Work closely with the product team towards building out a DeFi application Integrating front ends with smart contract code
    • Achieve comprehensive unit and integration test coverage
    • Design and ideation of new functionality

    What you need to succeed:

    • 5+ years of experience in another programming stack or language
    • 1+ years of Solidity smart contract development experience
    • Understanding of Javascript Ethereum SDK’s (web3.js, ethers.js)
    • Experience deploying Dapps or smart contracts on to Ethereum
    • Smart contract dev tools/frameworks – hardhat and truffle
    • Hands-on experience conducting smart contract audits, including identifying vulnerabilities, documenting findings, and providing recommendations for remediation.
    • Familiarity with common attack vectors and auditing methodologies (e.g. reentrancy, front-running, integer overflows, gas optimization, etc.)
    • CI/CD setup experience
    • Deep understanding of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and the broad decentralized finance ecosystem
    • Problem-solving attitude, ability to act autonomously, participate in discussions, and actively propose solutions.
    • Excellent communication skills – You know how to work in teams, give and receive feedback, identify bottlenecks.
    • A desire to keep up with blockchain technology trends and a real interest in decentralization
  • QA Engineer

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar, strong fundamental skills in Software Testing area
    • 2+ years of practical experience in Software Testing
    • Understanding of development methodologies
    • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
    • Experienced with SQL and API testing is a big plus
    • Experience with common delivery tools and processes
    • English Upper Intermediate
    • No criminal record certificate (Upon successful completion of interviewing process no criminal record certificate will be required to start – can be obtained )

  • Fullstack Blockchain Developer

    Protofire is looking for an enthusiastic Middle/Senior Fullstack Developer who is deeply passionate about the Web3 space.

    How you will make an impact:

    • Develop both back-end and front-end web services and products across various blockchains and ecosystems, primarily EVM-compatible, catering to millions of web3 users. 
    • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the business aspects of projects and enhance them with innovative features and functionalities. 
    • Engage in effective communication with network/platform owners and the ecosystem community, actively contributing to the broader adoption of web3.
    • Contribute significantly to the open-source community.

    What you need to succeed:

    • 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
    • 3+ years of commercial development experience with JS/Typescript, and any (the more the better) of the following: Node.JS, Go, Rust, Python.
    • Proficiency with Postgress, MongoDB and/or nonSQL.
    • Knowledge about how a blockchain works, preferably Ethereum is a must.
    • Experience with Solidity.
    • Experience with some of the following libraries and utils: hardhat, web3.js, ethers.js, web3.py, storybook, etc.
    • Experience in AWS.
    • A desire to keep up with blockchain technology trends, readiness to research new, and a real interest in decentralization.
